The York College Honors Program is designed for students eager to make a meaningful impact from day one. In addition to financial support, this vibrant community offers a wealth of educational opportunities, fostering a strong, supportive network where members uplift one another. Among its many advantages is the chance to collaborate with driven and creative peers alongside a dedicated and passionate faculty.

This application is for new first-year incoming students interested in applying for the Eisenhart Community Scholars, Gordon Leadership Scholars, Graham Collaborative Innovation Fellows
or Presidential Research Fellows.

The priority deadline for submitting your application to any of the Honors Program opportunities is March 1, 2025. Students must maintain full-time status at York College in order to participate in Honors Programs.

Project Submission

If you are applying for the Gordon Leadership Scholars:

Explain how your Jewish identity and understanding of what it means to be Jewish will help inform your leadership development as a contributor to Jewish life at YCP.

If you are applying for the Presidential Research Fellows:

Please share with us a document, visual, video, or other artifact that represents the product of past research–and your approach to research. Remember that the products of research take many forms, so it could be an academic paper, a creative project, community work, etc., as long as it involves primary or secondary research, or both.

You could send us a URL link that will allow us to access something you have created on YouTube or other media sites. If sharing a google drive, please adjust the sharing permissions so the review committee can access your work.

We are interested in learning more about you and your innovative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial spirit. Being entrepreneurial does not mean you necessarily want to start your own business. Rather, it’s about approaching your classes, extracurricular activities, and future career with curiosity, ambition, passion, tenacity, unique perspectives, resourcefulness, and excitement (C.A.P.T.U.R.E).
